Brook Lake? This first time submission was received on August 1, 2007:
Found your website through the link from
Bradford-online.
My name is Liz , BAHS class of 1964. I live in Omaha, Nebraska. Lived on Derrick Road in
Bradford until moving away after college. Don't remember the "Mutant
Beach."
The attached photo is of a place called Brook Lake
located on Interstate Parkway near Sullivan Road. I don't know how
long the lake was there - I have no memory of it in the 1950's or 1960's.
The photo is probably about 1920 based on birth dates of two of the girls
who are my aunts. The four girls (all are now dead) are from left to
right:
Marge Thorn
Kath Rizzuti (my aunt who was born in 1910)
Jane Rizzuti (my aunt who was born in 1915)
Dot Thorn
The Rizzutis and Thorns lived on Pleasant Street between
Center and Bennett.
Don't know if you can use the photo.
Thanks,
Liz
