Mutant Beach State Park Since the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has allocated fifty plus million dollars to revamping the four lane section of U.S. Route 219 that runs through Bradford, effectively signaling that they never intended on connecting the highway with Interstate 80, we have decided that we must use this new project as best we can to promote tourism for Bradford. We implore the Commonwealth and Governor Rendell to make Mutant Beach part of the state park system. This action to promote tourism in Bradford would not only stimulate the local economy but would also help offset some of the probable monetary losses incurred from the Commonwealth's failure to complete U.S. 219 from the New York state line to Interstate 80. We also hope that in the immediate future they will erect this sign near the Elm Street exit:
