More on the Origins This first time submission was received via Mutant Mail's high speed Morse telegrapher on August 24, 2006:

The term Mutant
Beach comes from back in the late 60's early 70's when a bright orange sludge
oozed from the drain holes in the sides of the concrete slabs. Iif you
looked very closely you could see every color of the rainbow in the sludge (I
assume mine runoff). When I was a kid at Hobson Place, the art teacher would
take our class to the spillway and catch fish that we would dip in paint and
press onto paper. I've been a fisherman all my life and still cannot name some
of the species of fish that came out of there. So I assume that the sludge has
something to do with the fish mutations. [MBPS NOTE: As evidenced by the photograph above, the Beach still has that ooze].
