The Vietnam Moving Wall in Smethport, Pennsylvania

The Moving Wall visited Smethport, Pennsylvania on June 1-5, 2006.  I was not prepared for the way I would feel when I saw the names of all those young men.  There are no words to describe the intense feelings of sadness that overcame me.

These are some of the pictures that I took while I was there on June 2, 2006.  Out of respect for those in attendance, I did not take any close-up photos of anyone standing at The Wall.

A heartfelt thanks goes out to American Legion Post #138, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2497, The Moving Wall committee, and all the sponsors that made it possible for The Wall to come to this area.  It is a day I will never forget.

I would like to extend my thanks to those who served in Vietnam and also to those who never made it home and to their families & friends that had to suffer the most.  Thank you for my freedom.

Sincerely,

LG, Editor
